I'm a relaxed, lighthearted marriage celebrant with more than 20 years as a professional speaker behind me.
On your wedding day that means two things:
- I'm completely across the legal side and genuinely calm under pressure, and
- I'm laidback and a bit of fun with everything else.
Whether it's an elopement, a casual backyard "I do" with a handful of guests, a big traditional wedding, or something gloriously non-traditional - I'll get you there YOUR WAY.
What couples tell me they love most is that it never feels like 'just another wedding'. I take the real time to get to know you both and write a ceremony that's unmistakably yours. Part of that is something I'm known for: before the day, I quietly gather stories and memories from your family and friends, then weave them through the ceremony - so your loved ones feel part of it, and there are usually a few happy surprises (and sometimes a few happy tears).
Don't worry: if the thought of being the centre of attention makes you nervous, you're in good hands. A lot of my couples aren't natural spotlight-lovers, and putting you at ease - ensuring things are calm, patient, never any pressure - is something I genuinely pride myself on.
My process is relaxed and flexible - a mix of calls, emails and meetings in person or virtually to suit you, plus resources to help with the trickier bits like vows and music. You can text me your questions anytime, and I'll keep you in the loop at every step, so you're never left wondering about the script or the legal paperwork - I take care of all of that. On the day I bring my own modern PA system (with Bluetooth for your ceremony music) and a microphone.
My philosophy after two decades hasn't changed: it's not about me. It's your day, and my job is to give it a supportive framework so you, your family and your guests can shine.
